When we use our "computer keyboard" when we type a word or sentence in key board,Computer operating system analyses that data and the part of the "OS" Operates that data is called command line processor "CLP".In "UNIX" the CLP is completely separate program, and each user of UNIX communicates with a copy of this program.The program itself is called the "Shell" or "Shell UNIX".
Well is the Windows or operating system we use these days we get one Shell but surprisingly their is two shell in UNIX system Called as "Bourne shell"(sh) and the "C- shell" (CSH). There are other shells swell called as "Korn shell"(ksh) and the "Bourn-again shell" (Bash).Bourne shell
